Prerequisites/ student experience

Participants in the Biking Through Okanagan Vines are required to have basic biking skills and be comfortable riding on the shoulder of rural roads. Daily distances will not exceed 30km per day, and breaks will be provided during long stretches of biking. Nevertheless, participants should be prepared and able to bike at least 25km per day with some intermittent hills without stopping. Participants do not require significant knowledge about wine, but will more thoroughly enjoy the trip if they enjoy wine. As the tour will happen in any type of late summer weather, participants should be comfortable with the possibility of encountering rain at any point. See materials and supplies for more information.
